Nature Performed

We can often overlook the beauty of subtle actions within the landscape. The ephemeral movements of a breeze are easily taken for granted. In these videos, a naturalist gymnast performs using a rhythmic gymnastics ribbon, making the wind’s presence visible and allowing the tree’s movement to be read as a performance and dance routine.

Vince Ruvolo is a gay New York born artist and bookmaker who lives and works in Brooklyn. Vince obtained a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design. His artwork has been featured at Milk Gallery, The Ulster Museum, The NeMe Arts Centre, The Jamestown Arts Center, and The Benkai Museum.
